Drake Didn't Do As Good As Predicted...

...Drake’s first week sales – and even I got sucked in a little. He mentioned in an interview he wanted to sell 500,000 copies in week 1. Well, he fell just short of that selling 462,989 (U.S) – which lands him directly at the top spot of the Billboard charts and is one of the highest selling debuts of this year. Definitely not a bad look.

I’d be lying if I didn’t think that number (although remarkable) would be a bit higher. But I guess, regardless of the hype, or the energy behind Drake or any artist these days, a large portion of folks just aren’t motivated to buy records. But nonetheless, an amazing first week of sales.

I personally haven’t stopped listening to Thank Me Later unless I'm Listen To Janelle Monae The Arch Android
