Rapper Wiz Khalifa Crowned Hottest Breakthrough MC Of 2010

Pittsburgh rapper Wiz Khalifa was named MTV’s “Hottest Breakthrough MC Of 2010” during last weekend’s “Sucker Free Summit” on MTV2. Khalifa received 200,000 votes in a span of about four weeks beating out fellow Top 5 contender’s Nicki Minaj, J. Cole, Travis Porter, and Diggy Simmons. “I’m digging Wiz. I’m digging what he’s doing, especially coming from a place like Pittsburgh,” DJ Drama, one of the “Sucker Free Summit” panelists, explained to MTV News. “It’s not necessarily that [Wiz] is a product of his environment, but it’s always good to see someone put a city on the map [like Wiz has].” Khalifa, like the other “Hottest Breakthrough MC Of 2010” candidates, has yet to release a second studio album.
