A new track from Keri Hilson surfaced earlier today. ‘Still A Girl’ was reportedly recorded during the studio sessions for her new album, ‘No Boys Allowed’, which hits stores later this year. Give it a listen below:
This record definitely has more Top 40 appeal than her previously released Urban track, ‘Breaking Point’. However, something about the vocal arrangement is cluttered and it does not fit in with the song’s production. Moreover, while it is commendable that Hilson is trying to expand her vocal ability, it sounded as though she was struggling to keep up with the tempo of the track and simply doing too much. Take a breath.
