New Track: Jordin Sparks - I Am Woman

Jordin Sparks has been out of the limelight for a minite, however that changed today with the surfacing of her brand new single ‘I Am Woman’. The high-octane, empowering cut is set to feature on her as yet untitled third studio album – due later this year.

The ‘American Idol’ winner describes the track as being “about different aspect of the lives of women.”

New Song: Jordin Sparks – ‘I Am Woman’ (Snippet)

It’s been a while since we’ve heard anything from Pop starlet Jordin Sparks. Indeed, after the tanking of her ‘Battlefield’ LP (despite the title track’s success on the Single charts), there had talk of the American Idol alum potentially being dropped from her label.

However, it appears the 21 year old’s career has been handed another lifeline. Cue ‘I Am Woman’. A snippet of the cut, said to be a front runner for Sparks’ new single, has hit the net.





Feisty and fierce, the track is a refreshing (and much needed) change of pace for the singer. For far too long she’s presented a Disney-esque image of self – which, in keeping it real – would see her chart prospects severely limited.

At 21, it seems Sparks is finally coming into her own musically. Here’s hoping the full track, and her forthcoming album, re-affirm that. She’s far too talented to fall by the wayside.
