Album Review: Marsha Ambrosius - Late Night & Early Mornings

Late Nights, & Early Mornings is a understatement!

Marsha Ambrosius first solo album titled "Late Nights, And Early Mornings" is fulled with different emotions from something we all know too well Love, to something that seems to be very common feeling in us all "Anger". This London native first hit the U.S music scene in 2002 with a music Duo titled "Floetry" with hit songs such as "Say Yes", "Gettin' Late", "Super Star" ft. Common, and "Lay Down". After five Grammy Nominations The Duo split to venture off into other audiences.

"I titled this album late night and early morning because in the process of making the album there were a lot of late night, and early morning" said by Marsha on Bet's 106& Park (Music Matter Monday) this being the she did her first live performance of "Far Away" a single from her album.

When turning the album on I she hit you with a very sensual introduction titled "Anticipation" following that you get the very sexy side of Marsha with two songs titled " With You" which most of the song is Marsha Moaning in a very tasteful way.after that we get the song that's titled after the album "Late Night, and Early Mornings" yet another sexual song. at this point of the album you start to think that it's going to be all about sex but lucky it's not. "I Hope She Cheats On You(With A Basketball Player)", and "Far Away" are the two single that are currently getting the most radio play on urban radio stations. Skipping a few songs we get to my favorite song off the album titled "Stay" which is a mid Tempo song for the old head, and something I was happy to see on the album was that she re-did the song that she wrote for the late great Micheal Jackson title "Butterflies"

This Album is good but there are a few songs that I will truly advise to skip.

I give the Album a 3 1/2 of of 5
