Album Art Work: Beyonce - 4

She’s back!

After causing a frenzy yesterday with the debut of her ‘Run The World (Girls)’ video, Beyonce has unveiled the release date and album cover for the eagerly anticipated set.

Beyonce’s New Album “4″ To Be Released on Tuesday, June 28

NEW YORK, May 18, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — Columbia Records will release “4,” the fourth solo studio album from Beyonce on Tuesday, June 28, 2011.

The album was recorded over a year between the spring of 2009 and the spring of 2010, while Beyonce took time away from the spotlight. She engaged in what she describes as simple things, including listening to every kind of music she truly enjoys. Her mixed musical gumbo will be displayed on the upcoming album.
The title signifies not only the artist’s fourth solo offering and the day of her birth but it is also a personal gift to her fans. For over one year now her fans around the world took to their social media pages urging her to name the album for her special number.
The intensely anticipated video for the album’s lead single, “Run The World (Girls),” made its premiere on American Idol tonight. The online debut of the full-length video immediately followed at www.beyonceonline.com.
Filmed in Los Angeles and the Mojave Desert over three days in April, the Francis Lawrence-directed video boasts a cast of over 200 dancers, a menagerie of exotic animals and Beyonce as the leader of a stunning army of women.

With the LP just a month away from release, it’s safe to say we’ll be seeing a whole lot more of Bouncy in the weeks ahead. I imagine another single and video will be rolled out nearer release – given the drama surrounding ‘Run The World’ – whether the latter becomes a hit or not.

Beyonce Delays Release Of ‘Run The World (Girls)’ Video

In a less than fortunate twist of events, the long awaited visual for Beyonce’s ‘Run The World (Girls)’ video has been delayed. This comes just one day after it was announced the clip would premiere tomorrow (Friday 13th).

Find out what the hold up is after the jump…

“OK, bad news: ‘Run The World(Girls) won’t be out on Fri like we thought. No new date yet, Beyonce is perfecting it‘ was the official statement regarding the delay posted by VEVO less than an hour ago. This comes after the revitalization of interest in the visual and the song itself which was brought on by the release of a third trailer yesterday.

Whilst the Houston native’s departure from Mathew Knowles and his team was heralded as being a brave and necessary career move, there is no denying that the organization exhibited in previous promotional campaigns headed by Papa Knowles is not apparent now the 29 year old is managing herself.

One cannot help but to think of Lady GaGa, who has g the most out of fans by sticking to release dates and delivering on time.

Either way, Beyonce is the budding icon she is today for a reason. Though the promotion surrounding the ‘Run The World’ video has not been her most impressive, her talent and business acumen put her ten feet above the rest even when she is not trying.

Your thoughts?

Beyonce Titles Her New Album....

Drum roll please. After months of waiting, the world must wait no longer for Beyonce has finally confirmed the name of her new album.

The title of Beyonce’s new album has been confirmed as ‘4′.

Speaking to Billboard magazine, the budding legend explained, “We all have special numbers in our lives, and 4 is that for me. It’s the day I was born. My mother’s birthday, and a lot of my friends’ birthdays, are on the fourth; April 4 is my wedding date”

She also went on to discuss her decision to part ways with her father and his management company, “It’s not that anything bad happened between us. My family has my support always, and they support me, but when you’ve been working with the same people for 15 years, it’s natural to eventually have your own ideas.”

Also revealing, “We were at a point where we’d do so much from each other, and now it’s exciting for me to do this on my own and hire my own team. I’ve started managing myself”

It is now safe to say that the force that is a Beyonce promotional campaign has begun. You ready?!

Teaser: Beyonce – ‘Run The World (Girls)’ Video

She’s back! Beyonce’s new single ‘Run The World (Girls)’ may not be running much of anything on iTunes. However, that may all be set to change with the premiere of its accompanying video. An official teaser for which was released moments ago on the superstar’s Youtube page.

Beyonce Is Not Running The World!

Who runs the world? Clearly not Beyonce. The entertainer’s new single, ‘Run The World (Girls)’, has made its debut on the Billboard Hot 100 but at a much lower position than her fans would have hoped.

‘Run The World’ entered the lineup at #33, selling only 77k downloads and garnering just over 18 million audience impressions. The figures earn the song a placement at #23 on the Digital Songs tally and #65 on the Radio Songs chart, respectively.

In contrast, both of Lady GaGa and Britney Spears’ 1st singles – ‘Born This Way‘ and ‘Hold It Against Me’ - debuted at #1 on the Hot 100. However, both records received more promotion than ‘Run The World’.

Hopefully, Beyonce manages to tear herself away from her escapades in France and give the single the push it needs to succeed.

|Side Note| She might need to higher her pops back! I'm just saying

BEYONCÉ PRAISES ADELE: ‘I FEEL LIKE I’M LISTENING TO GOD’

Adele may be able to knock listeners off their feet with her powerful pipes, but when it comes to one of her idols, she’s the one who gets weak in the knees. The British songbird recalls meeting Beyoncé for the first time and the glowing compliment Bey bestowed upon her.

The “Rolling in the Deep” singer was overcome with nerves before the encounter. “I was about to meet Beyoncé,” she tells Rolling Stone, “and I had a full-blown anxiety attack. Then she popped in looking gorgeous, and said, ‘You’re amazing! When I listen to you I feel like I’m listening to God.’ Can you believe she said that?”

After calming herself down, Adele was inspired to create her own alter ego, a combination of Beyoncé’s Sasha Fierce and country legend June Carter. “I went out on the balcony crying hysterically, and I said, ‘What would Sasha Fierce do?’ That’s when Sasha Carter was born,” she says of the name she uses to pump herself up.

Adele is currently coasting on the success of her sophomore album 21, which has sold over a million copies in the U.S. since its release in February.

Snippet: Beyonce - Girls (Who Rule The world)

The time has finally come! Beyonce is back! A preview of the highly anticipated new single, reportedly entitled ‘Girls (Who Rule The World)’, from the electrifying entertainer’s upcoming album has been released.
