Album Review: Adele - 21
Adele second album titled "21" is an amazing work of art. full of emotions, and beautiful imagery. from beginning to end Adele bears her soul by singing about love, relationships, and heart break.Starting off with her 1st Single "Rolling In The Deep" which has a very indie sound to it but yet still very poppy, and radio friendly. Followed by an song titled "Rumor Has It" has an ultra dope vintage sound to it like something from the era of DooWops. Now we come to one of my personal favorite songs on the album titled "Turning Tables" which speaks about a relationship that's Topsy-Terby, and how she's ready to just give up. this ballet is amazing and it shows why Adele is such an Rising Legend. "Set Fire To The Rain" is set to be the second single form the album yet another beautiful song. "He Won't Go" a very urban song, also on of my favorite tracks on the album. The melody change between the versus and the course are amazing.
That is just to name a few of the AMAZING songs from "21". This album seems to be more personal, and darker the her debut album titled "19", but yet still a solid piece of art.
Buy it......

VIDEO: Janelle Monae Performs ‘BaBopByeYa’ With Live Orchestra
Janelle Monae is unlike any other artist around today. I’ve been saying that for nearly 3 years now. 2010 was the year the rest of the world realised it and while the majority of ears remain asleep on this incredible talent, good peoples such as yourselves are thankfully well clued up.
Anyways – until’ tonight I hadn’t heard or seen Monae perform ‘BaBopByeYa’, one of the many highlights off her debut The ArchAndroid. In the video up top she performs the epic ballad backed by the Emory Symphony Orchestra at Emory University’s Schwartz Center in Atlanta, Georgia – her performance is spellbinding. Everything about it from her dress, to her posture, her seamless and powerful vocals – everything. Goosebumps.

Nicki Talks About Gay Rappers, Politics, and Rumor about Her Sexuality

Nicki Minaj covers the latest issue of the gay and lesbian publication Out Magazine. During her interview, she discusses whether there are gay male rappers in hip hop and the politics of women in music. Peep a few excerpts, her dope spread, plus a video interview below:
On If there Are Gay Rappers in Hip Hop
“I think there have been many gay rappers, they just haven’t come out of the closet,” Minaj says slyly. “Yup, lots of them. They’re lurking around the industry now. Obviously, the majority of the men in hip-hop don’t want you to think they’re gay. That’s just the reality of it. I’m a woman, so I have a lot more flexibility. And I don’t lose credibility in any way if I say I think girls are dope and sexy.”
The Politics of Women in the Music Business:
"It’s interesting that people have more negative things to say about me saying ‘I’m Barbie’ than me saying ‘I’m a bad bitch, So you can call yourself a female dog because that’s cool in our community. But if you call yourself a Barbie, that’s fake. Once I figure something is irritating people, I’m going to do it more,” she says, smiling, “because I like to get on your nerves until you realize how f*cking stupid you are.”
On Being forced to speak on her sexual orientation
People who like me — they’ll listen to my music, and they’ll know who I am. I just don’t like that people want you to say what you are, who you are. I just am. I do what the f*ck I want to do. The point is, everyone is not black and white. There are so many shades in the middle, and you’ve got to let people feel comfortable with saying what they want to say when they want to say it. I don’t want to feel like I’ve got the gun pointed at my head and you’re about to pull the trigger if I don’t say what you want to hear. I just want to be me and do me.”

VIDEO: Janelle Monae – ‘Cold War’
So Yeah I Have A Blank Face After Watching This Video!
In what can only be described as brave and beautiful, this video is nothing short of brilliant. Brutal, emotional, naked – it gives you everything. It’s completely memorising. Not only that, but it reiterates the message put forward by so many (most recently Erykah Badu’s ‘Window Seat’ video) that a massive budget, c0mplex story line and insane costumes do not make a video. Innovation, spirit and energy does.
Not to mention the focus on the lyrics of this song, which are so important, is critical the understanding the nature of Janelle Monae’s music. Take away the big instrumentation, the electric moves and you find yourself left with heart felt words with meaning, motive and true heart.

New Video: Kanye West – ‘Power’
Kanye West’s highly anticipated video for ‘Power’ has finally debuted. The production was directed by Marco Brambilla to support the 1st single from his upcoming studio album which hits stores on September 14th. To date, ‘Power’ has climbed to #22 on both the Billboard Hot 100 and the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. Check out the video below:
West sure knows how to leave a person speechless! That has to be the most invented use of graphics that I have ever seen in a music video. Without a doubt this is one of the best productions of the year. There is nothing else to say. Simply genius.
Sidebar: If this does not get the Illuminati theorists buzzing then nothing else will!

Three New Katy Perry Promotional Pictures

California Gurl Katy Perry unleashes her promotional pictures for her new album, "Teenage Dream." The singer puts on her purple wig and strikes a pose for these flawless pics. Her second single shares the name of the album and is a nice mid tempo ballad that's expected to do well on radio and the charts. Time will tell but she surely is killing the competition in the current Artist Of The Month poll. "Teenage Dream" drops August 24th.
