VIDEO: Jill Scott Previews New Music In Concert
Jill Scott’s been on our radar here lately so when we came across this video we had to bring it to you.
In New York City on April 20 Jill Scott hosted an exclusive, invite-only The Light Of The Sun album preview concert.
In the video the radiant singer/songwriter performs ‘Quick’ a song apparently about her baby daddy (!) and ‘Boom’ a bouncy number that proclaims her desire to bounce from a relationship.
Wanna know what the rest of the album will be like? At a recent concert Jill added: “Pay attention to the lyrics. This is a grown-ass woman talking; that’s the kind of artist I am. I don’t hold back. When you listen sisters, you’ll hear yourselves. And brothers, maybe you’ll learn a little more insight about us. We should all appreciate the all of us. That’s what’s in this record.”
Did you like what you heard? Will this be your soundtrack for the summer?

Nicki Minaj & Willow Smith Perform On New Years' Rocking Eve
Nicki performed "Save Me," live at New Years' Rocking Eve. Snicki did a very good job of handling one of my favorite records off of her album, "Pink Friday," live. She sounded decent and the crowd seemed to love it. With "Moment 4 Life" picking up speed on the charts, I sure do hope that "Save Me" and "Roman's Revenge" follow as the next two official singles.
Mistress Willow took to the stage to give a performance of her club anthem, "Whip My Hair." The energetic 9-year-old did a good job of delivering the single live once again. Although I do think that some parts that she 'sung' were not fully live but pre-recorded. It's all good though, I'm looking forward to seeing her transforming the magic she has on "Whip My Hair" into a full fledged album.

Video: Lauryn Hill Performs Intimate Gig to Kick Off Tour
Via: RollingStone
Lauryn Hill Schedules Rare Shows
Needless to say, Hill’s tardiness upset many fans in attendance, all of whom made it out to the show despite harsh weather and patchy public transportation options following a severe blizzard in the New York area. But going on footage from the gig making the rounds today, the fans who waited it out — including Prince and Janelle Monae, both in town for a concert at Madison Square Garden tonight — were in for a treat.
Hill performed a 14-song set that included new arrangements for hits from her debut album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill and her days with The Fugees, as well as an obscure Bob Marley cover at the top of the set.
One inspired performance, captured in the clip above, shows Hill and her band segueing a gorgeous rendition of the Flamingos classic “I Only Have Eyes For You” into the Fugees’ “Zealots,” which was built from a sample of the original Flamingos recording.
This show was the first of a tour of intimate venues mainly in the Northeast, but it was originally meant to be the second. A performance at the Highline Ballroom in Manhattan was scheduled for Monday night, but had to be rescheduled due to the blizzard.

VIDEO: Janelle Monae Performs ‘BaBopByeYa’ With Live Orchestra
Janelle Monae is unlike any other artist around today. I’ve been saying that for nearly 3 years now. 2010 was the year the rest of the world realised it and while the majority of ears remain asleep on this incredible talent, good peoples such as yourselves are thankfully well clued up.
Anyways – until’ tonight I hadn’t heard or seen Monae perform ‘BaBopByeYa’, one of the many highlights off her debut The ArchAndroid. In the video up top she performs the epic ballad backed by the Emory Symphony Orchestra at Emory University’s Schwartz Center in Atlanta, Georgia – her performance is spellbinding. Everything about it from her dress, to her posture, her seamless and powerful vocals – everything. Goosebumps.

Trey Likes to Eat.......

.....Ok So I Was Doing My Daly New Search And I A Video Of Trey Song Doing "Soft Core Porn" (Not Really). While in Connecticut this past week Trey did his normal, and by that I mean being extremely sexual on stage. As Trey mimics how he would be while he is having sex while a girl. pretending that he is fingering her P***y, and then licking the juice off his finger. then show his fan how he stroke his girl. A lot of people stated that he has lost all respect for him after seeing this.
But what can you say. sex sales and if it's helping you provide for your self and family then hey go for it. but my question is how many groupies do he get a night?and why haven't anyone started the "sex-aholic" rumor about him yet?

Lady GaGa Tour Set To Gross $200 Million

It looks as though Pop phenom Lady GaGa’s year long ‘Monster Ball’ tour is set to pay off – in a big way.
Arthur Fogel, who heads up Live Nation (the trek’s promoter) recently told Rolling Stone that the 24 year old’s tour is set to rake in between $150million-$200million before its last show early next year.
Needless to say this is an amazing achievement for GaGa. While some may remain caught up in talk about gimmicks and whatnot, she’s is proving herself not only immensely talented, yet also a huge profit-generator. More power to her.

VIDEO: Erykah Badu Performs ‘20 Feet Tall’ (Live In L.A)
Queen Badu performs New Amerykah, Part 2: Return of the Ankh’s opening track ‘20 Feet Tall’ live at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles. It’s a short, but well put together piece and it deserves a post simply because it’s Erykah Badu. Cannot wait for my annual pilgrimage to see this lady live in London this summer. ‘20 Feet Tall’ has grown to be one of my favourite songs on the album – the words are so captivating.
